**If you would like to view my portfolio, please let me know.**
I grew up in Denver and attended the University of Colorado where I studied broadcast news and political science.
After graduation, I worked at ABC in Lincoln Nebraska where I wrote a prime-time newscast that earned me my first local Emmy. After leaving KLKN-TV, I was hired as the morning show producer at the KFOR, the NBC affiliate in Oklahoma City, where I went on to earn two more local Emmys.
I then transitioned to digital marketing at the University of Oklahoma in the College of Continuing Education where I was in charge of creating new marketing programs for a variety of schools and programs. While working at OU, I also attended graduate school earning my master’s degree in economics.
I then left OU and moved back to my hometown and got a job at Emily Griffith Technical College in their marketing department. My main responsibility was managing the website which was built in Drupal.
I later moved to NYC and specialized in Drupal for a few years, primarily working for a B2B SAAS company managing their website and lead generation.
A short contract job I took required me to learn WordPress which I have found to be the most robust CMS and one that I will always recommend, no matter the size of the project. From real estate to capital management to retail, I have yet to work with a client whose needs can’t be met with WordPress. It sometimes requires a third-party tech integration and that is what I have specialized in for the last five years.
I have either done the integration myself or I have led a team through the process. In addition to tech integration, I have also contributed to cohesive marketing plans as needed in the form of: content generation, social media strategy, SEO, content production and client management.
